Israel claims Hamas tunnels were directly beneath UNRWA headquarters

Israel claims its forces have discovered a tunnel network spanning hundreds of metres and running partly under the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) Gaza headquarters.
Army engineers showed journalists the underground passage and what they claimed was a terrorist data centre, weeks after countries, including Britain, suspended its funding for the aid agency following allegations that 12 of its employees took part in the Oct 7 Hamas attacks.
The UNRWA headquarters is in Gaza City, one of the areas hundreds of thousands of civilians fled in the early days of the war as Israel made advances on the region.
