Argentina's president has given his first policy speech to Congress. Javier Milei announced a wide range of reforms.
In his fiery speech he said he would try to push through policies with or without lawmaker's support. "We won't back down, we're going to keep pushing forward," he said, adding: "Whether that's by law, presidential decree or by modifying regulations."
The right-wing populist took power last November, promising to shake up Argentina's embattled economy. But he's facing strong opposition in the parliament - and on the streets.
Unions called for protests ahead of Milei's speech - saying they fear his plans will leave the country worse off.
